Click&Share did not start as a software idea. It started as a bike rental that had to run without anyone standing at the counter.
Our own Click&Bike stations came first: e-bikes at the Faaker See and, later, a store in Villach, both open every day of the season and neither with staff on site. Customers book online, receive their codes, open the door and ride. To make that work reliably — payment, deposit, codes at the right time, the return, the bike that comes back with a problem — we built the software ourselves.
Other rental businesses saw the stations and asked for the same thing. Click&Share is that software, opened up to any operator. Today it runs bike rentals in eight countries, including the United States, and the same platform handles SUPs, kayaks and other outdoor gear where operators rent them alongside bikes.
Click&Bike in Faak am See and Villach: 41 bikes, nobody on site. And Click&Paddle, unattended SUP stations at three Carinthian lakes, on the same platform. Every feature goes through our own high season before it reaches yours — the 7 a.m. pickup, the code that has to arrive on time, the return with a scratch nobody mentioned. We are the most demanding customer the platform has.
Click&Share is founder-led. When you book a call, you talk to the person who builds the product and runs the stations, not to a sales team. That's why the answers are specific, and why the roadmap follows what operators actually need: delivery pricing options, two-step code delivery, return reports with photos, and the next thing you'll ask for.
We partner for hardware rather than building it: ten smart-lock brands, bike boxes and lockers, and — in Austria — a partner who supplies bikes and service to hotels and campgrounds.
